Toxic Free Home: D.I.Y Mirror & Window Cleaner
Updated: Oct 15, 2019
EWG is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment. From cosmetics to household cleaners, you can search thousands of products toxicity levels and their potential side effects.
According to EWG's website, my old favorite glass cleaner Windex is unfortunately highly toxic and may include the following side effects:
Endocrine disruptor: endocrine disruptors are chemicals that can interfere with hormone systems. These disruptions can cause cancerous tumors, birth defects, and other developmental disorders.
Reproductive effects
Damage to vision
Cancer
Respiratory effects

ARE STREAK-FREE WINDOWS REALLY WORTH YOUR HEALTH?
You might be thinking weeeeell...these are just "possible side effects".
Remember your liver must process and filter everything. If you are cleaning your windows and can smell
the Windex, there is no doubt that your liver must deal with all those chemicals.
Radiant health, flat belly, shinny hair and nails, beautiful skin and a positive upbeat attitude are only possible if the liver isn't overburden by toxins.
